We at Grande Tours have had such a great time over the last month that we just had to share with you.

The management of Grande Tours wishes to congratulate our new staff members, Ashlee Doot and Travis Rupe on their successful completion of the Florida Master Naturalist Program, Coastal Systems. We are sure that they will use what they learned in their up coming eco-tours.
The Florida Master Naturalist Program is part of the University of Florida Extension Service. The mission of the FMNP is to promote through their graduates awareness, understanding and respect for Florida's many environments and ecosystems to our visitors and Florida residents. The FMNP "teaches those who teach others", by fostering principles of biodiversity, connectivity and sustainability.
Dog Island is now open for camping use.
Thanks to all those who respected the "closed " signs on the island. The nesting Great Blue Heron's have now sent their young on their way.

Lazy Days of Summer Happenings...
Go West, My Captain, Go West! And I did !! The Outdoor Retailer Summer Market is held in Salt Lake City and for my 6th year I am excited to be to a part of it. The energy here is so high. The first day is the Open Air Demo day held just outside Salt Lake. This gives us, the retailers, an oportunity to test out the newest kayaks, stand-up-paddleboards and any other products pertaining to the outdoor industry.
The next 4 days we will spend the greater part of
our time inside the Salt Palace Conference Center. Visiting all the
booths from every outdoor product manufacture will take me 4 full
days.
I arrived a day early so I could visit the 35 acre downtown Temple
Square, the
worldwide headquarters of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day
Saints. The photos are of the Temple, inside of the Tabernacle ,inside
the Conference Center with 21,000 seats and the 26 floor Church office
building! Need I say more......

Many new products were shown to us at the outdoor show, one with the most interest was a video camera by GoPro. This is a "must" on my list and it will be on yours when you come by Grande Tours and take a look. This small camera is totally waterproof and can easily fit on your head, your kayak, bike or whatever you want. We have them on order and will have them soon....also we will be renting them for you to save your next adventure with us.
